Healthy Communications is led by Susie Hill, an experienced medical writer, editor and communicator, who specialises in health sector communication projects. Thirty years working in the health sector in New Zealand has ensured she is extremely well networked, so you can reach those GPs, PHOs, hospitals, DHBs, NGOs, specialist health communities you need to.
Susie was Professor Sir Peter Gluckman’s first communications officer at the Auckland School of Medicine – allowing her the privilege to work with and get to know other medical luminaries like Professor Sir Richard Faull – before she worked for eight-and-a-half years as deputy editor of NZ Doctor newspaper. Susie has also done a stint as a magazine sub editor, for Taste magazine, where she acquired a new taste of her own… for websites.
Over 10 years working in the digital space sets her apart from other run-of-the-mill communications specialists. Susie is a website, communications and content consultant for a number of health-related agencies. With an NZCS (paramedical), BSc in human physiology and Certificate in Journalism, she has a diverse range of interests spanning literature and the French language to the intricacies of human physiology and nutrition.
